It started with a crazy thought. What if wedding photos didn’t feel staged? What if photographers actually cared about the people in front of the camera… not just the portfolio? What if couples could relive their wedding day the way it actually felt? Not perfect. Not posed. Just real. That insane idea became our life.

We’re Mark & Brittany. Two parents. Two storytellers. One slightly chaotic life with two boys and two huskies.

We know how fast life moves. How moments disappear. That’s why we photograph weddings the way we do. Not as a checklist. Not as a photoshoot. But as a story. The quiet moments. The loud ones. The blink-and-you-miss-it ones. Because someday these photos won’t just be pictures. They’ll be the way you remember everything.

  • FOUNDER - PHOTOGRAPHER

    I always joke around and say you can throw a rock and find a good photographer, but what makes us different is that in addition to amazing photos, is an equally great experience. I created “This Insane Idea” with the vision and goal that anything is possible. Ive had a passion for photography my entire life, capturing moments around me in the most authentic ways until one day my wife told me “go full time”, it was insane. I fell in love with wedding photography and the emotion it brought out for everyone involved. Family, love, laughter and memories are four things that I think about on a daily basis, I’m practically addicted. When I’m not obsessing over wedding photography I am spending time with my wife, two sons Bre & Mylo and talking husky Moon. We look forward to capturing your day

I have been in the hospitality industry for 20 years and have managed hundreds of weddings along the way. Helping brides plan their perfect day to be relaxing and fun is my specialty. I will be here for you from the moment you say “I do” to This Insane Idea, helping make your wedding dreams come true. I also am very passionate about content creation, it’s actually our second business with our dogs! I have loved bringing both of my skills together on your day!
